Event Information

Here’s a preview from the Kids Camp Directors:

Welcome to Kids Camp 2025! We are looking forward to spending this short week with your 3rd-6th graders! Come and join us for a jam packed 3 days of becoming “More Like Jesus” - our camp theme - with your directors, Bella Ward and Katie Bernard! During this camp, we will be playing tons of group games, messy games, water games, and making tie dye creations and everlasting friendships!

During this event, we will be hosting a day for your even younger children to experience a taste of camp, with our Kids Camp Day Camp! This will be an exciting day as the younger kids get a glimpse of what Suncrest Camp is all about. Parents are welcome to stay with their child throughout the day or have the option to drop off in the morning, and pick up after dinner.

More exciting events will take place but we don’t want to spoil all of the surprises! So, sign up today, and we’ll see you there!

If you’ve never sent a child to Kids Camp at Suncrest, here’s what you can expect:
This is our annual camp for young children, running from Wednesday evening - Saturday afternoon. This will be an amazing four days of camp, where kids will have tons of fun. From things like field games to cabin skits, everyday looks a little different. One way, however, that each day is the same is our overall focus; learning about the God who created them, loves them, and sent His son Jesus for them.

Your child will hear about the good news of Jesus, and how to live a life with Him. We have tons of fun, make lifelong friends and memories, all the while focusing on Jesus! We just can’t wait for Kids Camp 2025!

Campers will be placed in a cabin with kids close to their age, where they will be supervised by counselors with required volunteer clearances.

Wednesday, June 18th - Saturday, June 21st
Wednesday Registration/Drop-Off is from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Saturday concludes with a 3:00 PM Worship Service, where we invite parents to join us.
Camp will end at 4:15 PM, directly following our final service.

Both drop-off/pick-up are in The Tab, the big gray building you’ll see when you pull into camp.
For children going into Grades 3rd - 6th in Fall 2025
Cost: $80

Get the kids camp Shirt!

Register before Tuesday, June 3rd to guarantee your Kids Camp 2025 Shirt. After that date, shirt size/availability is not guaranteed.

*Shirt is only for four-day Kids Camp, not for Day Camp attendees.

Make it stand out

New for this year, is the opportunity to bring out your younger kids to try out a day of Suncrest Camp!

Day Campers will join the bigger group for most of their time, but will have volunteers who are specifically there for these little ones. Please feel free to email us at suncrestyouthcamps@gmail.com with any questions about Day Camp.

Camp Directors

Katie Bernard

Katie’s love for Suncrest Camp began in 1998 when she first attended "Junior Camp" as a 3rd grader. She was terrified, but it turns out, this place had become one of the most special places on planet earth to her. She has experienced Jesus here year after year.

She currently lives in Hocking Hills, Ohio where she loves and serves her community in unique ways like baking bread, serving on the Logan Christian School Board, and volunteering with the youth group at Antioch Alliance Church! But at the beginning of summer her family is uprooting and returning to their hometown of Beaver Falls! She and her husband, John, and their three children, Tate, Daisy & Peter look forward to see the Lord continue to work in their lives as he has thus far!

She cannot wait to direct Kids Camp again with Bella this year! They have some exciting things planned and more importantly, they expect to be transformed to be More Like Jesus!

isabella ward

Isabella is a wife, mom of 3, and nanny. Her first introduction to Suncrest Camp was back in 2015. She helped with worship for Flannel Jam. And has been part of Suncrest ever since. This is her 2nd time directing, and she couldn't be more excited to do it again.

Her and her family attend Chippewa Alliance Church, where they are also involved in different areas of ministry.

She is very eager and excited to see what awesome things the Lord is going to do at kids camp this year!

Camp Speaker

Dan johnson

Dan Johnson is a commercial HVAC technician, and seminary student living in Southeast Ohio. That means that, during the week, his life resembles a current-day version of Burt the chimney sweep from Mary Poppins, except that he's not tall and can't dance. He does, however, get dirty and climb around city rooftops on a daily basis. On the weekends, you'll notice he is remarkably cleaner and either singing, teaching, or dialoguing with friends about the Bible and following Jesus. He is married to Janna (who can dance, but also isn't tall) and they have four wonderful kids (they're not tall either...)

Dan is a veteran of many camps as a camper, counselor, and other positions, but a rookie at Suncrest. He enjoys backpacking, audiobooks, and hopes to someday write a book that someone other than his mom would like to read. He graduated from Cedarville University with a Bible degree, but that was probably before most of this year's campers were born.

Here’s what you should pack.
Please read carefully, as we’ve updated our list.

  • Bible/Notebook

    • We keep some free Bibles on hand, so please let us know if you don’t have one.

  • Clothes and shoes that you can run around in

    • We recommend a second pair of shoes in case one gets wet.

    • Please pack some extra clothes for either wet/messy games.

  • Cash for Snack Shack (Optional)

    • During check-in, parents have the option to buy a “cash card” for the week (only offered at Kids Camp). It’s a prepaid paper card we keep in the Snack Shack. That way, your child doesn’t have to keep any money on them. We’ll keep track of everything and let them know how much money they have remaining. At pickup on Saturday, please let us know and we can refund you any unused funds.

    • We recommend $15 per camper for cash cards. Please let us know at check-in if you have any questions about cash cards.

  • Bedding for Twin Mattress (Sheets/Blankets/Sleeping Bag) and Pillow

    • It can get cold at night, so please pack an extra blanket and hoodie.

  • Toiletries and Bath Towel(s)

  • Prescription Medications

    • Please put in a Ziploc bag, and label with camper name and parent’s phone number.

    • For safety reasons, campers are not allowed to keep medication on them/in their belongings. However, counselors can access medications at any time of day.

  • Reusable Water Bottle

    • If possible, please put camper’s name on the water bottle.

  • Umbrella/Rain boots

    • While not a necessity, these can be nice to have.

  • Note about Weather Conditions:

    • Please be aware that Suncrest does not have cooling/heating. This has not been a problem for us, but please be prepared. Please pack extra socks, sweatpants, hoodie, shoes - just in case anything gets wet.
