Event Information

Here’s a theme preview from the Kids Camp Directors:

Welcome to Kids Camp 2026! We are looking forward to spending this partial week with your 3rd-6th graders! Come and join us for a jam packed 4 days as we dive into understanding what it means to be a part of God's family. Our theme this year is Adopted. Katie Bernard and Bella Ward are returning as your Kids Camp directors! During this camp, we will be playing tons of group games, messy games, water games, and making everlasting friendships! During Kids Camp, we will be hosting our second year of Mini Camp for our littlest campers. This is designed for ages Kindergarten - 2nd grade. It will be an exciting day as the younger kids get a glimpse of what Suncrest Camp is all about. Parents are welcome to stay with their child throughout the day or have the option to drop off in the morning, and pick up after dinner. More exciting events will take place but we don’t want to spoil all of the surprises! So, sign up today, and we’ll see you there!

If you’ve never sent a child to Kids Camp at Suncrest, here’s what you can expect:
This is our annual camp for young children, running from Wednesday morning - Sunday morning. This will be an amazing four days of camp, where kids will have tons of fun. From things like field games to cabin skits, everyday looks a little different. One way, however, that each day is the same is our overall focus; learning about the God who created them, loves them, and sent His son Jesus for them.

Your child will hear about the good news of Jesus, and how to live a life with Him. We have tons of fun, make lifelong friends and memories, all the while focusing on Jesus!

Campers will be placed in a cabin with kids close to their age, where they will be supervised by counselors with required volunteer clearances.

Wednesday, June 17th- Sunday, June 21st
Wednesday Check-In/Drop-Off | 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

mini-camp @ Kids Camp

Back again for the second year, is the opportunity to bring your younger kids out to experience Suncrest!

What’s mini-camp?

A partial day at Suncrest set up for even younger children to enjoy!

Throughout their entire time at camp, “mini-campers” will have volunteers assigned to just their group. So, even as they will be with the bigger Kids Camp group at times, they will have the attention they need. Parents are also more than welcome to stay and accompany their child for the entire event. If you are planning to do, please let us know when you register!

Camp Directors

Katie Bernard

Katie is excited for year three of directing Kids Camp with Bella! She has a passion for people to hear and be transformed by the truth of the Gospel. This is just one part of why Katie loves to serve as a director at Suncrest Camp!
As a veteran camper/counselor, Katie has been involved with Suncrest since 1998. Throughout the years, Katie has had countless encounters with the Lord at Suncrest as a kid, and as an adult!
She recently had her fourth baby, Lavender, and is homeschooling her older children; Tate, Daisy, & Peter. She and her husband, John, and their children attend Chippewa Alliance Church.
She is excited to have two of her children attend as campers at Kids Camp 2026!

iSAbella ward

Bella, a wife and mom to 3 is very excited to be directing for a 3rd year! Camp ministry has been a part of her life since 2014. And she couldn't be more excited to have her family be involved as well. She and her family attend Chippewa Alliance Church, where they are also involved in different areas of ministry. She is very eager and excited to see what awesome things the Lord is going to do at Kids Camp 2026!

Camp Speaker - TBA

Here’s what your camper will need to have packed.

  • Bible/Notebook

    • We keep some free Bibles on hand, so please let us know if you don’t have one.

  • Clothes and shoes that you can run around in

    • We recommend a second pair of shoes in case one gets wet.

    • Please pack some extra clothes for either wet/messy games.

  • Cash for Snack Shack (Optional)

    • During check-in, parents have the option to buy a “cash card” for the week (only offered at Kids Camp). It’s a prepaid paper card we keep in the Snack Shack. That way, your child doesn’t have to keep any money on them. We’ll keep track of everything and let them know how much money they have remaining. At pickup on Sunday, please let us know and we can refund you any unused funds.

    • We recommend $15 per camper for cash cards. Please let us know at check-in if you have any questions about cash cards.

  • Bedding for Twin Mattress (Sheets/Blankets/Sleeping Bag) and Pillow

    • It can get cold at night, so please pack an extra blanket and hoodie.

  • Toiletries and Bath Towel(s)

  • Prescription Medications

    • Please put in a Ziploc bag, and label with camper name and parent’s phone number.

    • For safety reasons, campers are not allowed to keep medication on them/in their belongings. However, counselors can access medications at any time of day.

  • Reusable Water Bottle

    • If possible, please put camper’s name on the water bottle.

  • Umbrella/Rain boots

    • While not a necessity, these can be nice to have.

  • Note about Weather/Camp Conditions:

    • Please be aware that Suncrest does not have cooling/heating. This has not been a problem for us, but please be prepared. Please pack extra socks, sweatpants, hoodie, shoes - just in case anything gets wet.

Schedule

Here’s what a day at Kids Camp looks like!
This is an example schedule, just to give an idea of the week.
Some activities/days may switch and change, and we always like to keep some parts of our week a surprise!
While this schedule may change, the drop-off and pickup times will not.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We proactively focus on your child’s safety! We use a mix of teen and adult counselors (minimum 16 years of age). Plenty of adults and moms are intentionally involved!
All volunteers have all required background checks/clearances according to PA state law.

  • Campers are always supervised by at least one of their counselors. We make sure campers are staying in groups, and if they are alone, we make sure we know why. There are clear lines of sight in a relatively small area that we spend most of the day. Big games that take place over larger portions of the camp are always played in entire groups.

  • Between Cabin Counselors and Event Directors, all campers may have phone access whenever necessary. Event Directors will give out their phone numbers at Check-In.

  • Absolutely! While we highly recommend they join us for the whole week - we know some years that just won’t work. We can make accommodations, we just need to know ahead of time. Please email us at info@suncrestcamp.com

  • Email us at info@suncrestcamp.com put Kids Camp Question in the subject line, and we’ll forward it along!
